Kailua-Kona, Hawaii [Part 2]

Reflections.

Sunsets. Despite writing all of this many months after my initial trip, one thing still sticks. The sunsets. Breathtaking sunsets that immediately push you to have faith in a higher power, because how can something be so beautiful if not divinely created? What a way to close out a trip, through a nightly gratitude exercise accompanied by sunsets.

Friendship. My best friend flew out to during the last leg of our trip. I enjoyed our conversations around everything from family life, desires, and where life has taken us. 17 years of friendships, different states, and yet we are still standing strong - love you G, and I’m so glad we got to experience Hawaii together!

Circularity - things coming to an end. During this trip we got some devastating family news, one that pushed us from flirting to committing to moving back home to Colorado.
